Proof That Kids Don't Need Teachers

Sugata Mitra, a researcher in India, makes a compelling argument for what he refers to as "minimally invasive education." Check out the following links about his "Hole in the Wall" experiments during which he left web-powered computers in impoverished neighborhoods. Interested kids were able to reach a level of technological fluency equal, if not higher, than kids receiving formal computer training and even many adults. 

Read these links to learn a little more about his research. I thought he was nuts at first, but the more I read, the more I wanted to know more.
